Testimonials & Press
Jonathan provided expert consulting on much more than retail merchandising. Not only was he able to effect significant change from the front of house marketing perspective, he also performed high impact reviews of operational systems, decision making procedures, and offered connections to many industry leading contacts. His work with S. Clyde Weaver has been incredibly valuable and has given our company a new understanding of how to competitively operate a brick and mortar retail store. William Roche, CEO, S. Clyde Weaver

Our experience working with Jonathan Raduns was very positive. Jonathan entered the workplace and quickly discovered what he needed to know of our history and product line. He also connected with our business culture to understand the relationships of our team with our customers. Our company is in the fourth generation of ownership after 100 years of traditional farmers market activity. We needed to change to a more up to date and efficient model to adjust to a rapidly changing retail marketplace around us. Jonathan helped us understand how to engage the marketplace of 2020 with understanding of people, product, displays and store layout. I fully recommend Jonathan for retail support services. Our consultation with Merchandise Food was successful in that we were able to immediately implement several of Jonathan’s clearly communicated suggestions. These actions improved sales and customer impressions. His recommendations were comprehensive and we have a good list of things to improve. He immediately understood the nuances of our business and was able to make practical recommendations, both in the merchandising area and in the financial area as well. “Jonathan was referred to us by a well respected hospitality veteran. Jonathan had an immediate impact on our retail sales. After a thorough and thoughtful assessment of our retail establishments, Jonathan presented us with a comprehensive roadmap for making improvements to our store model. As we have implemented Jonathan’s recommendations this past year, we have been delighted by the results most notably the 30% sales increase in our retail goods. We would highly recommend his services for any entrepreneur looking to improve the sales productivity of their stores.” |

The entire process of our remote review with Merchandise Food was easy, exciting, educational, and highly beneficial for our business. We needed a fresh pair of eyes to show us our weak spots and guide us to a more efficient layout of our market. We appreciated all the tips and resources they shared with us to improve customer flow, add to our product mix, and update our fixtures to maximize our space. We would highly recommend Merchandise Food to any farm market that wants professional expertise applied specifically to their business to increase their profitability and efficiency.

"I called Jonathan for help on a critical, short notice project for the Garden Bar at Ruby Tuesday. While many would have said no, Jonathan not only said yes, he said that he would make the finished results look like it had been planned for months. And he did. Jonathan is a master merchandiser, and understands the unique role that each food ingredient can play when the goal is to visually "wow" the guest. I heartily recommend his talents!"

"Jonathan did a full business review for us a few years back. He was very professional and not afraid to tell it like it was. He had many suggestions for each part of our business. Some were able to be implemented immediately and others are a work in progress. Through his training and plans, we have seen a large increase in team enthusiam and vision. Through some pricing issues we have seen an increase in profitability. I feel that (through) the whole review and plan process the best thing was to see my team come together and get excited about serving the customers."

78% Sales Increase in Direct Farm Merchandising & Marketing - Domoy Farms, LLC
Jonathan's merchandising , team work, and customer service strategies significantly developed our profitability at a major suburban farmers' market in Western NY. After reviewing year on year sales, we discovered a 78% increase in revenue in this market alone. Thank you!
I am a huge skeptic of consultants trying to sell me on their expertise. That being said, after a couple hours of consulting with Jonathan, I had some home work to do. But unlike the homework that seems tedious and pointless, when we implemented his suggestions we started to see drastic changes in our sales. When we opened our coffee stand at the Collingswood Farmers' Market this year using the suggestions from Jonathan, we sold out of all of our baked goods half way through the market day! We were frantically calling back to the main shop for more to sell. It is unbelievable what a change in perspective from a trained eye can do. We are excited to see what happens as we continue to implement his ideas in our small shop.

"We quickly developed a very loyal and satisfied customer base..."
During the final stages of opening our new coffeehouse, we utilized Jonathan's experience to layout an efficient kitchen and develop an awesome menu, utilizing locally produced items that we also feature in our retail shop. He worked as a partner procuring and specifying kitchen supplies, created merchandising strategies for our food & retail, and developing procedures necessary to operate the business. His team also trained our baristas and developed specialty beverage menus. We quickly developed a very loyal and satisfied customer base that has propelled us to succeed.
