The Honey Merchandising Buzz: URBAN APIARIES At Philly Farm Festival

4/3/2012

Pennsylvannia Assocaition for Sustainable Agriculture and Fair Food Philly sponsored the Philly Farm Festival this weekend.  Exhibitor's displays featured culinary demo stations and product displays of farm fresh vegetables, fruits, and value-added products.  Urban Apiaries produces honey, "made exclusively from city dwelling honeybees in Philadelphia." The display requires a video experience live bees doing what they do best: making honey. The live element and movement of this display was an excellent picture of urban farm merchandising.  Great job adding sizzle to food merchandising! Good thing the milk vendors didn't have cows caged in glass!
